You happened to have named all the things *I* haven't gotten the hang of, either...except orienteering. It's a blast, and the national website http://orienteeringusa.org/ is really helpful. My husband's addicted...he's out there in the woods just about every weekend. Make sure you try the White courses before jumping ahead...I'm still mostly Yellow, an Orange at best. Good luck!
